"The story and characters pull the reader into this entrancing romance, full of deceit and pain. By the end, the reader will come away with food for thought. Does love really conquer all, or is that only true in fairy tales? Warring Hearts: Cradle the Light is a promising first installment to what appears to be an excellent trilogy." An excerpt reviewed by Anne K. Edwards: "A well-told tale set in a day our grandparents lived, brings the war and the sacrifices it exacted on London to life. We are reminded how easily a precious moment can slip away if we don't hold onto it. Will Richard survive and return to Claire? That question will keep you reading. A story you'll remember. Enjoy. I know I did." |

Romance At Heart Magazine 4 heart rating! Review by Valerie for Love Romances.
"This tale will
draw the reader in and keep her captivated until the last page.
Filled with descriptive prose that takes the reader back in time to
1940, the reader will feel herself transported to a time of
desolation and war, of betrayal and lust, of life and love. Ms.
Gaia gives her reader two very complicated and deep characters that
will invade the reader’s heart. Claire wants desperately not to be
shackled, and Richard battles with his fears and torments of war.
Their lives unfold and intertwine as this very poignant story is
told. The reader will certainly be reaching for a tissue a few
times while reading. The action is kept up with twists and turns,
secondary characters give life and depth to the story. This is
certainly a keeper and this reviewer is looking forward to the rest
of the story."

I want to follow along with these characters some more so I will most definitely be adding this one to my keeper shelf and waiting for the next book in this series to find out more about their lives and to see what happens next. |
