Vicki Gaia

Mixed media & collage artist

“I have always been drawn to natural and man-made textures, from tree bark to crumbling ancient temple walls. There is something visceral and spiritual when working with textures and layers in art.”

Vicki Gaia’s mixed media works are created by layering textured papers, original photographs,  found objects, and whatever is at hand in her studio. While contemporary in nature, Gaia’s artwork has a meditative and spiritual quality, which is inspired by her fascination with natural and man-made objects weathered with age, ancient sites, and Earth's mysteries.  She is an intuitive artist, enjoying the element of surprise when creating her works of art.

Vicki Gaia graduated Cum Laude with Distinction in Arts from San Diego State University.
